1st Step: Bring in your footage

• To use green screen compositing in after effect Initially, click on the new composition from the footage to launch into import. secondly, after launching after effects click on the new composition from the footage and select your green screen.

2nd Step: Put in the keying present

• To start applying the keying present you have to open effects and presets.
• Initially, you have to open the effects and presents panel. click on the window navigation and then click on effects and presets.

Choose, key light + key cleaner +advance spill suppressor to pull and drop onto your footage.

Three important things while using green screen compositing in after effect, which is described below.

      1. Key light: – it is used to selecting the color of your background and make it transparent.

3rd Step: Begin with the Key light effect

• Select the color picker and click on the area of a green screen. (hold ctrl when you will be clicking the green screen color if  they are pixels)
• After that, change the view of the screen matte. This will show you a black, white, and grey matte view of the footage.
• After that, open the screen matte settings. You have to see that background should be completely black and the subject should be completely white. So, adjust the screen matte setting accordingly.
• The most important is that, change the view setting back to the intermediate result because if you will not do so by chance it will get to the final result and will ruin your footage.

4th step: – use key cleaner effect

The time you applied the preset the key cleaner effect was started by default. It ties up with keylight effect seeing that the border of everything is clean. From now you don’t have to do anything else if everything looks good.

5th step: – use of advanced spill suppressor

• Here, the footage will have a clean key with the background removed. But, there would be some color patches on your subject they would be like- parts of the body and clothing.
• To tackle this issue when we are using green screen compositing in after effects, open the advanced spill suppressor effect, to open it click the empty box next to the effect name.

6th step: – Add a background
